★Something I should tell you★

I will speak with Mister Balbuena. A teacher who gave us the class of History of Puerto Rico and United States in seventh and eighth grade. He was a person who inspired and energize everyone with his personality and his paternal way of being and that won the hearts of all his students. He died in his classroom of a heart attack while he was teaching us. His death caused a gap in students and staff throughout the school. However his presence even still with us and we remember him as a special human being who left his imprint on our lives.


Balbuena: "Jamilisse, do you remember me?"


Me: "Oh My God! Mister of course I remember you. How can I forget you. It's really great to see you again! How's everything over there in heaven?"



Balbuena: "Everything is good over here, is more calm and I feel great. I watch and take care of all my students every day. You all are very important in my life." 


Me:"Thanks. That makes me feel more relaxed. But we really miss you mister. We miss your jokes, your anecdotes, your way of giving the class, your way of being and everything you do. It is not facile to forget how you died in front of us while giving the class. Even when I remember it, it makes me feel sad."

Balbuena: "Don't be sad because as I said before I'm in a better place now. Death is inevitable in this life but I always said that when it came the time for me to die, I wanted to be where I love to be with the people I love more. And those were you, my lovely students. I feel happy because I died surrounded by people that I loved. And you should not suffer because although I am not physically with you, I always accompanied you to every place you go."


Me:"What you say is true. When you died I do not know what to do with the Chapter AMIL of the Junior Honor Society, I thought that we all would be lost without the support you gave us. We really felt very lonely without your company, but finally I realized that you never left us, you has always been with us and thanks to that the Chapter AMIL came out ahead."

Balbuena: "I never doubted that you were leaders who would take the Chapter AMIL forward. And I'm very proud of you that with hard work gave recognition to our chapter not only in the talent show, but also in the intellectual competition and in every activity you attended."


Me:"Thank you very much for your words but we must recognize that we owe it all to you, the person that stimulate us to never bringeth despite the adversities that are present on the road."

Balbuena: "You do not owe me nothing, you owe it to yourself. I just gave you the advice and you decide to take them or not. You took your decision, and in this case it was the correct one. And speaking of something else, I realize you were not studying at the school I told your mom that I would have liked you to study."


Me:"True, mister. You have a point. I remember that mom would not enroll me in that school because she did not want me to study so far and I she doesn't want me to take the train.But look how things are right now, I study in San Juan and almost every evening I have to go by train to my grandparents' house. hahahaha. But I really like the school I'm right now"

Balbuena: "Hahaha, That is what matters.  And in your school there is a chapter of the honor society?"


Me:"Of course. We have the Chapter Hortus in the Honor Society and if I'm honest every activity reminds me of my years in the Junior Honor Society. There are always things that never change."

Balbuena: "That happens. I hope all your dreams come true and that you continue to be yourself forever. These qualities that characterized you will make you achieve and be successfull in everything that you purpose."


Me:"I really like to hear those words that make me feel good. Again it was a pleasure seeing and talking to you. Hope to see you soon"

Balbuena: "Same for me is a pleasure. Take care. Greetings to your mom and many blessings for you and your family."


Me:"Amen. Thank you.Bye bye"


Balbuena: "Bye."
